Karin wins the Belgian Championship 2024 with Fletcha van't Verahof.
The Belgian Championship 2024 was competed during the CCIO4*NC-S in Arville. 17 Competitors battled for the Belgian title. After dressage Karin was in the 4th place. In the jumping, she had 1 fence down in the show jumping and a clear cross with 5.6 time penalties, Karin and Fletcha van't Verahof won the Belgian Championship.
In the CCIO4*NC-S with 113 compatitors, Karin finished on the 9th place. What an excellent job of Karin and Fletcha van't Verahof.
From 15-18 August, Karin will participate at the CCIO4*-NC-S also the Belgian Championship in Arville (BE) with tree horses: Fletcha van't Verahof, Olympic de Muze, Cérès de la Brasserie

Voorwoord
Intrinsiek
35 niet meer niet minder. 35 geef ik haar.
Tijdens haar date met Karl, 'Paris by Night', dacht ik zelfs even aan 25.
Knappe blondine uit de Noorderkempen. Stralend. Eifeltoren op de achtergrond, je zou van minder onder de indruk zijn. Toch Karl?
Karin is 53. Achttien jaar ouder dan mijn oorspronkelijke schatting, maar die achttien jaren, veeg ik onmiddellijk weg als ik haar enthousiasme hoor. Haar passie voor paarden en haar liefde voor sport voel. Als ik haar blinkende ogen zie. Haar motivatie en haar goesting om doelen te stellen proef. De Karin-Donckers-vibe.
Leeftijd is relatief en bijzonder overschat! Karin is daar het levende, galopperende, sportende bewijs van. Atlete pur sang. Teamspeelster.
Laat Karin meespelen met de Belgian Cats of de hockeydames. Laat ze Alpe d'Huez beklimmen in de Tour de Femmes. Ik ben er vrij zeker van dat ze dat na de nodige training klaarspeelt. De 'bergen' en de plassen aan 'Den DESTA' in Minderhout als trainingsondergrond.
Omdat in sport alles, zo niet heel veel, afhangt van intrinsieke motivatie. Van karakter. Van vallen. Van genezen. Van doorgaan. Beter willen worden. Altijd!
De week na Parijs aan de slag met twee talentvolle 'jonge' paarden in Nokere. Een week later voor de negende maal (!) Belgisch Kampioen in Arville. Los Angeles 2028 aan de verre horizon.
Het paspoort van Karin zal dan 57 aangeven. Die cijfers omdraaien doen we niet. In mijn beleving kom ik aan 39. Op de top van haar Olympische 'eventingkunnen'. De ervaring van Parijs nog vers in het Olympische geheugen.
Je bent een voorbeeld Karin. Voor iedereen die verder wil komen in zijn of haar sport. Voor elke ruiter. Elke ponyruiter.
Op een moment waarop mijn intrinsieke motivatie niet al te hoog zat, over de redenen weid ik niet uit wegens divers, heeft het uitschrijven van het EquiTime-interview mij een nieuwe push gegeven. Blijven trappen. Altijd. Niet opgeven. Ook al is het steil en zit winnen er niet in. Blijven rijden. Scherp blijven. Blijven proberen om beter te worden. Blijven werken aan een betere versie van jezelf en je paard(en)/pony's.
Bedankt Karin! Ook een 48-jarige dient daar soms aan herinnerd. Tot binnenkort op de één of andere LRV-cross. #beleefLRV

Olympic Games 2024
This morning at 11.15, Karin and Leipheimer van 't Verahof started with their dressage test. Karin was the first of the three Belgian Riders.
The combination reached a very good score of 26.6 points. At that moment, Karin was at a 2nd place (after 16 riders).

This morning, the Olympics really started for Karin and Leipheimer van 't Verahof with the first veterinary inspection which they passed with success.

Karin Donckers gaat voor de 7e (!) keer naar de Olympische Spelen... ge gelooft het misschien ni, maar deze podcast was totaal ni gepland om online te komen zo 2 dagen vooraleer dat ze in actie moet komen, maar het komt wel schoon uit. Een lang en plezant gesprek met één van Minderhouts bekendste inwoners over paardrijden en alles daarrond. Gene kapper of geluidsman beschikbaar, dus Aranka komt nog eens hosten en ook Anne schuift mee aan tafel. Last night Karin left together with Leipheimer van 't Verahof to the Olympic Games 2024 Paris.
They arrived early this morning.
July 21st
The last training camp ended today for Karin and Leipheimer van't Verahof and Fletcha van't Verahof, in preparation for the 2024 Olympics in Paris (France).
On Wednesday, Karin will leave for the Olympics with Leipheimer van't Verahof.
Furthermore, Karin will be active during the games (subject to change) on:
- Friday 26/07: 09.30-11.00 - First veterinary inspection
- Saturday 27/07: 09.30-18.30 - Dressage (65 starters)
- Sunday 28/07: 10.30-15.00 - Cross country
- Monday 29/07:
- 8.00-9.30 - Second veterinary inspection
- 11.00-13.30 - Jumping team final and individual qualification
- 15.00-16.00 - Jumping - individual final (25 starters)
- 16.00-16.30 - Medal ceremony teams and individual ranking

Ik ga samen met HippoTV, met Karin Donckers, Flore De Winne en Manon Claeys op zoek naar de allertofste ponyclub van Vlaanderen. Currently on her way back from a unforgetable competition! Karin participated with Leipheimer van 't Verahof in the CCI4*-S in Luhmühlen, where they finished 18th as best belgian combination. Karin is happy with the feeling she had on Leipheimer. This weekend for the showjumping she found motivation in the wonderful result of Lara de Liedekerke who finished first in the CCI5*- L! Congratiulations to Lara for this historical and memorable win! Now returning home and getting back to work!
Currently Karin is in Luhmühlen where she will compete with Leipheimer van 'T Verahof in the CCI4* -S. You can see the results on the website below.

Last weekend Karin participated in Kronenberg (NL). This time with the younger horses to gain more experience. Shakira competed in the CCI1* - intro, where she showed how elegant, strong and smart she can be. Oogappel de Muze, Encore un T and Pinokkio competed in the CCI2*-L. All three ran a clear round cross country. Now back home and the things they have thaught me this weekend, because the only source of knowledge is experience.

What a great place and super organisation at Baborowko. Super ground and great weather. All Belgians in super shape and very competitive in preparation for Paris OG. Karin was happy with her 3 horses. Ceres de la Brasserie and Fletcha van 't Verahof in 4star short finisching 13th and 8th. Also Olympic de Muze showed progress in getting more mature during xc and finished 15th in the 3star short competition. Got all home monday morning safely
Karin arrived in Baborówko (Pol) today with her 3 horses . This afternoon she will be competing with Olympic De Muze in the CCI 3* S. Tomorrow she will compete in the CCI 4* S with Fletcha van 'T Verahof and Ceres de la Brasserie.

Geweldige podcast, al zeggen we't zelf!Neem pen en papier ... en noteer zoveel je kan. Indien nodig, luister of kijk een 2e keer, zelfs een 3e keer als je dat wil. Mogelijks wordt ze in Parijs voor de 7e keer Olympiër, maar nu geeft Karin Donckers meer dan 3 uur lang inzicht in haar drive, werkmethode, geschiedenis, kennis, ervaring én ambitie. De perfecte storm van passie en wetenschap.

- Shakira: 12th place (48 compatitors)
- Encore Un T: 19th place (59 compatitors)
Karin is currently in Strzegom with three horses. She will compete with Olympic de Muze in the CCI 4*- S. With Encore un T she will be seen in the CCI2*-S and with Shakira in her first international CCI1*-Intro. The dressage will take place on friday 5th April. On saturday the jumping and for Shakira also the cross country. Sunday the final two horses will run their cross country! Serine Overik, one of Karin's students will also participate in the CCI2*-S with her horse Imperious Heart for Norway.For results you can check the following website. Good luck Karin and Serine!
On the photo we can see already see a relaxed and comfortable Encore un T!
Currently Karin and her three healthy horses are on their way back home from Poland. Shakira ran her first CCI1* - intro show. She finished 12th in her serie, wich was a good first international for her! Encore un T could be seen in the CCI2* - S, where he met the expectations. In the CCI4*- S Olympic de Muze and Karin had a misunderstanding on the 3rd last fence in the cross country which lead to a fall of the rider. Short recap: it was an almost succesfull weekend. Safe journey home to Karin, the horses and the grooms!

This weekend Karin participated in Kronenberg,The Netherlands. She finished 11th and 12th with Leipheimer and Fletcha van 'T Verahof in the CCI4*-S. Both brothers were very happy to compete again. Karin said she had a wonderfull feeling in all tree disciplines. Cérès de la Brasserie finished 6th in the CCI3*-L. There are some points in the dressage that need to be worked on, but the XC and jumping went very well.
Karin is currently competing in the first competition of this season in Kronenberg (the Netherlands). She and her 3 horses Fletch van 'T Verahof (CCI4* -S), Leipheimer van 'T Verahof (CCI4* -S) and Cérès de la Brasserie (CCI3*-L) arrived safely. Good luck!!
